After many cakes baked and bought, crafts made and sold, the Friends of St Loys have been fund raising for some playground games for the school. After much deliberation from the School Council they chose 5 super games which have now been marked onto the top playground. We have also been lucky enough to get two more for free thanks

On Thursday 7th July 10 year 3 & 4 children were invited to join in the Northamptonshire Sports Summer Games. The children took part in the Change for Life activities which challenged them; the activities included doing slaloms, volley ball, boccia and many more. Year 5 headed off to Towcester for a trip of two halves. The first half was spent at Tesco and the second half was at The Bell Plantation Garden Centre.  At Tesco they took part in two great activities; split into two groups they made pizzas and had to plan three meals for an Olympic athlete.  The first group chose

The whole school celebrated Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday. Each class had been learning about Her Majesty’s long life and reign, had looked at the country’s royal history and our traditions as well as our British values connected to this. Mr Hazelgrove has been invited to The House of Lords on Tuesday 14th June by The Baroness Campbell of Loughborough. This is to attend an Active Healthy Minds Event following the tour of St Loys Primary Academy by VIPs looking at aspects completed as part of the Healthier Child Project.  We had been selected to showcase what we have achieved.

Northamptonshire Sport and First for Wellbeing.  St Loys have featured in Northamptonshire Sport’s recent press release:  ‘On Wednesday the Healthy ME tour visited St. Loys Primary Academy. A group of 10 enthusiastic Year 5 & 6  children went to Chenderit Secondary School in Middleton Cheney to participate in their Cricket Festival. They joined 5 other schools in a round robin tournament. Each innings was 8 overs with 4 balls per over. Only 8 children played at a time and they swapped around the players. They thoroughly enjoyed
