Church & Community

Our Church

We are incredibly proud of our close links with St Mary and St Peter Church, Lois Weedon and to be part of the Peterborough diocese. Reverend Diane is our newly appointed vicar and we have enjoyed welcoming her into our school for some of our worship assemblies.

St Mary and St Peter Church

We make good use of the Church building and grounds in support of our Religious Education learning, regularly walking to the Church and exploring themes such as Baptism, Weddings and learning about historical and architectural features of the building.

Our Local Community

Lois Weedon and Weston Community lies about 5.5 miles (9 km) west of Towcester, Northants. St Loys is proud to be part of this rural community and supports the Parish in many ways. Our school play area is open to villagers outside of school hours and our Sports Hall has been utilised for Badminton clubs and individual users.

There are many Societies and Clubs, which often take place in the Weedon Lois Village Hall, eg. Horticultural Club, Drama Club, the Women’s Institute, Flower Club. Our School supports our local community by holding the annual Horticultural Show on school grounds.

Each year Weston is host to the Annual May Day Fair which often incorporates the Great Weston 5 Mile Run. The children of St Loys Church of England Primary Academy provide the May Pole dancing and a May Queen is chosen from the pupils.
