Welcome to St Loys Classes page. Our 3 mixed-year classes are Hedgehogs – Foundation Stage & Year 1 with Mrs Addison; Squirrels – Year 2 & 3 with Mrs. Watts and Badgers – Year 4,5 & 6 with Mrs Murray. Find out all about us below.

Hedgehogs

Foundation Stage/Year 1

“Welcome to Hedgehogs Class”

Our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Thackwray who joins us full time in Hedgehogs Class and Mrs Lear who supports group and 1:1 learning part time.

Learning in Hedgehog Class

In our class we enjoy lots of practical learning and exploration through play and interaction with a dynamic learning environment. Teaching and learning for Foundation Stage pupils follow EYFS Curriculum Framework and for Year 1 the National Curriculum.

Hedgehogs PE and Sport

We have 2 PE/Sport sessions per week amounting to a minimum of 3 hours and follow Primary PE Planning (PPP) scheme of learning with lots of opportunities to offer a broad range of activities for our children. We make use of our Sports Hall facilities and our outdoor provision.

Squirrels

“Welcome to Squirrels Class.”

Our Teaching Assistant, Mrs Rowland, supports learning in Squirrels Class full time and Mrs Lear joins us part time to support group and individual pupils with their learning.

In Badgers Class, our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Long and Mrs Lawrence who support our children with their learning in class.
