Our children of St Loys have once again shone brightly this week as they have each demonstrated their understanding and respect for Armistice Day and the significance of laying poppy wreaths at a memorial. An ‘egg-cellent’ time was had by all as our ‘egg-ceptionally’ well behaved and very ‘egg-cited’ children took part in the Friends of St Loys (FoSL’s) Easter Egg Hunt 2022 – ‘egg-stra’ special this time, as we’ve missed the last few – great ‘egg-cercise’ too ???? The children enjoyed following clues to find eggs – the special golden egg was hidden

As part of our celebrations of all things books… we welcomed in ‘West End In Schools’ to run some workshops with our pupils, exploring Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in FS/KS1 and in Badgers class, Jungle Book.

We enjoyed the Autumn sunshine as we set off from school for our ramble, raising money for Children In Need and getting exercise too. Badgers have been learning about the role of Parliament in UK Parliament Week. They have learnt about our elected officials, how laws are made and how to debate in the proper format. On Wednesday, Badgers ‘visited’  the Palace of Westminster…albeit virtually, taking a peek through closed doors. The online visit showed us the different rooms and how each is used
