Celebrating HRH Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday

The whole school celebrated Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday. Each class had been learning about Her Majesty’s long life and reign, had looked at the country’s royal history and our traditions as well as our British values connected to this. In the afternoon there was a party feeling around the school with some taking part in traditional party games (such as yr 1 & 2’s Pin the Tail on the Corgi!) and others watching the Trooping of the Colour from last year (much marching ensued!). Many children designed and made some beautiful cakes. The day ended with a lovely tea party on the field, hosted by the hard-working Friends of St Loys.
