After many months of hard labour on the allotment. St Loys sees the fruits of their labour awarded at the Weston and Weedon Horticultural Show in September.  At the end of May the children involved in food during creative week went down to the allotment and planted the potatoes and onions which the children were kindly given by the village

In traditional St Loys fashion, the whole school gathered together to welcome our new families in Reception. It was also to raise funds as part of the  Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning (ours was Afternoon) and MacMillan Nurses. Year 5 and 6 had an interesting talk this week from Martin, the Father to one of our children. Change Please is a charity that, with the support of The Big Issue, provides homeless people with housing, training and a London Living Wage whilst they train to become fully-fledged barristas. This year’s play was A Midsummer Night’s Dream, it included much of Shakespeare’s original text (and language) and was an outstanding success; the children and audience alike enjoyed every minute of it. Please look at our News and Galleries Tab for lots more fantastic photos.

After many cakes baked and bought, crafts made and sold, the Friends of St Loys have been fund raising for some playground games for the school. After much deliberation from the School Council they chose 5 super games which have now been marked onto the top playground. We have also been lucky enough to get two more for free thanks

On Thursday 7th July 10 year 3 & 4 children were invited to join in the Northamptonshire Sports Summer Games. The children took part in the Change for Life activities which challenged them; the activities included doing slaloms, volley ball, boccia and many more. They joined other schools from around the county in celebrating an end to this year’s Northamptonshire Sporting

Year 5 headed off to Towcester for a trip of two halves. The first half was spent at Tesco and the second half was at The Bell Plantation Garden Centre.  At Tesco they took part in two great activities; split into two groups they made pizzas and had to plan three meals for an Olympic athlete.  The first group chose
