A PRAYER FOR UKRAINE
As the current news about Ukraine is continuously evolving, you may be experiencing difficult questions from your children who may be feeling worried. BBC’s Newsround is a good place to read about updates in a child friendly way, particularly if children are feeling upset by the news. Please be assured that we are also talking to the children in school in an age appropriate way about the situation in Russia and Ukraine and are seeking to keep to simple and reassuring facts as much as possible.
Kasia Roberts, Tilly & Theo’s Mum has been organising a collection of essential items to send via Poland as emergency aid for Ukrainian families who have sadly become refugees in Poland. We are extremely grateful for the donations that St Loys families have shared. If families would like to help further, we will organise a donation collection point in the school foyer on Friday 11th March. If Kasia is unable to take any further donations, I will take them to another drop off zone at Helmdon Church who are also organising a collection to be transported to Poland and Ukraine.
