The child has one intuitive aim: self development

Dear Parents & Carers

THE FESTIVE SEASON HAS BEGUN!

The famous Christmas Tree in Trafalgar square is a familiar and beautiful sight when visiting London at this time of year, but it has nothing compared to St Loys! A heartfelt thank you so much to Mr & Mrs Hoare, Emilia’s Mummy and Daddy, who have once again donated a rather glorious Christmas tree, now adorning the hall at St Loys.

Advent is the Christian season of preparation for the Nativity of Christ at Christmas and this began with excitement at St Loys yesterday. St Loys has our very own special traditions for marking the significance of Advent and it begins with a special tree ‘dressing’ ceremony. Amidst Christmas carols, each family of children selected their own decoration to hang ceremoniously upon the tree. Finally, our special VIP, Emilia, supported by Connie W, switched on the lights to a St Loys round of applause.

With rehearsals in full force and decorations brightening the walls, we are definitely ready for Christmas joy in school.
