The child has one intuitive aim: self development

Newsletter 6 Autumn Term – 8th October 2021

Dear Parents and Carers Mental Health Awareness day falls on Sunday this year and focuses on the theme of good mental health in an unequal world.  Mental health can affect how we think, feel and act.  For me, this week, I have focused on the many happy achievements from within our school community, a valid way of recognising things that help my feel-good hormones and help to improve mood.

Perhaps, this weekend, we can all take some time to spend time in nature. Take some time away from technology and instead, visit a park or nature reserve, go to an allotment or garden or find a tree lined street to wander down. Spending time in natural surroundings or with animals is proven to reduce feelings of anxiety and improve your mood.

For St Loys, this week I have found many things to celebrate and bring a smile.
